Projects

This project is a building addition to the Vanguard Academy built by Lichtefeld, Inc. in July 2017.  The owners of the academy awarded the design-build project located in the Norton Commons neighborhood to Lichtefeld, Inc. in August of 2019.  The gymnasium is a 16,723 s.f. addition to the current academy.  The main skeletal infrastructure is a Butler custom metal building system.  The envelope structure will have metal stud exteriors with sheathing, insulation , and Hardie Plank facade board.  The roof system is a Butler state of the art MR-24 standing machine seamed roof system.  The roof has R-30 insulation with a 25-year material warranty, gutters and downspouts, parallel and perpendicular transitions for the parapet blinds.  All rain water on the roof is outside of the building lines with no interior drains.

The interior will have wood basketball floors, 6 mechanical basketball goals with the ability to play two games at one time.  The building is versatile with divider nets.  There will be volleyball courts as well as a futsal court.  The building will have the ability to be used for receptions, meetings, and multiple purposes for rent.

There are meeting rooms, lobby’s, storage rooms, and concessions.  There will be an outside mini field for outside play.
